I always wondered what happened to Jalopnik to make it what it has turned into. A shadow of its former self. Filled with nothing but ads, pointless video clips and opinions both automotive and (mostly) political. I remember when Jalopnik was new, me and the guys I used to work with used to sit down every day at lunch and read through Jalopnik. We got automotive news, nice price or crack pipe, and educational materials too. Time changes everything, that shop I used to work for closed a number of years ago when its owner retired, and it got bought out by a different party. It lasted less than one year after that. I own my own shop now, and finally removed Jalopnik from my bookmarked pages after finding little left to be interested in. I guess time changes everything sometimes good sometimes bad.

We were a GM family growing up, because they truly were the best for the value and held the highest resale values, but after my purchase of a 2014 silverado it was a disaster, extremely cheap build quality, and my AC condenser started leaking 200 miles out of warranty and wasn’t covered, it was a very common problem for 2014-15 model years. Add to that the recent scandal of GM selling their customers driving data to lexis nexis who then in turn sold said driving data to customer’s insurance companies, who then either raised rates or flat out cancelled customer policies has made it to where I will never purchase a GM product ever again

As an owner of several Mustangs.... I wish I still had my 1986 Mustang GT .... And I will never ever get rid of my Bought new 2012 Boss 302. The best Mustang of all time IMO. When you take your 6spd Boss 302 out after a hard work day you dnt care about screens, heated seats, nav, etc... you have a/c if needed and thats all you need. Again IMO :)

The sign of a great automotive UA-camr is when you can get people to watch 27-minute videos about vehicles they have zero interest in. Which is exactly what you've done. I know when I watch one of your videos, I'll (a) learn something, and (b) get some laughs along the way. In this case, I learned so much more about GM's Super Cruise than I'd ever known before. Bravo!

I like that you emphasized the emotional aspect that comes with the decision when buying a certain car, it doesn't always have to be completely logical, sometimes have to less loose and have fun. I just think this version of the Silverado is not Chevy's best truck going forward. Engine and transmissions are no longer needed in a LD pick up truck. It is time to switch over the new LT or Trail Boss trims for 2025 look great or go with the RST or WT 2024 trims. Either way you get a better vehicle than this version in the chevy line up.
